Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) covers children from birth through the end of the Reception year. At Moss Hey Primary School, all pupils begin their educational journey in Reception.

We highly value the EYFS as a crucial foundation for future learning and development. We are committed to ensuring children learn effectively, develop well, and remain healthy and safe.

Recognising that children develop at different rates and in various ways, we provide a high-quality, ambitious curriculum. This ensures all children acquire the essential knowledge and skills necessary by the end of Reception to become curious, resilient, and ambitious learners from the very start of their time at Moss Hey.
