At Moss Hey: we aim for our children to gain an understanding of the past, where we have come from and appreciate events, people, cultures and inventions that have reshaped our world.
Intent
At Moss Hey Primary School, our history curriculum has been carefully planned to provide children with opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. It inspires pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past and equips pupils to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and judgement.
It is important for children to develop a sense of identity through learning about the past and we want them to know how history has shaped their own lives.
