R.E

Religious Education

At Moss Hey, we are dedicated to equipping our children with the skills and understanding to become valued members of an inclusive and diverse society.

Our R.E curriculum actively promotes knowledge of major religions and cultures, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and curiosity. We aim to inspire children to explore both the similarities and differences in people.

Our R.E curriculum follows the Stockport Agreed Syllabus in R.E.  Each unit develops from an initial question, ranging from What is special about our world? in EYFS, to What can be done to reduce racism?  in Year 6.

Our RE curriculum includes the celebration of significant festivals across a broad range of faiths. Visitors and trips give the children first-hand knowledge and experiences of different religions and their practices.

Our whole school values are woven into our R.E curriculum, promoting respect and open -mindedness towards others and their beliefs.
